Set near Zichron Yaacov, at the foot of the Carmel mountain ridge near the coast, the Tishbi Estate is surrounded by its home vineyards which enjoy the cooling breezes of the Mediterranean Sea. The Tishbi family also plants, grows and harvests premium grapes at higher elevations to the North, to take full advantage of the cool mountain night air and the long sunny Mediterranean growing season ,and in the Negev Desert to the South, where hot arid days and cool windy nights combine with sandy soils to yield superior grapes.
To this day, proprietor Jonathan Tishbi, together with his family, personally supervises the growing, harvesting and bottling processes, tasting and evaluating each vineyard lot separately before creating final blends and award winning wines, sparkling wines and brandy.
Tishbi’s premier label Limited Edition wines are produced from the finest single vineyards across Israel and are unique stylistic expressions of these vineyards. The Wines
Jonathan Tishbi Special Reserve, Sde Boker, 2004
The icon wine of the Tishbi Estate Winery is made this year from a unique blend of red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, 50%, and Merlot 40%, grown in the desert area in Ben Gurion's kibbutz Sde Boker with an addition of mountain-spiced Cabernet Franc grapes, 10%. The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels before release. It has distinctive aromas of cassis, blackberry, and plum with a hint of mint, vanilla, and mocha from the oak barrels.

Jonathan Tishbi Special Reserve Chardonnay 2007
This full bodied dry white wine is made entirely from chardonnay grapes grown in the Gush Ezion vineyards and harvested by hand. Our chardonnay carries the exotic aromas of apricot, melon and peaches. The wine undergoes a slow fermentation at low temperatures in stainless steal vats and oak casks, to impart a rich bouquet of vanilla, caramel and honey.
