The Golan Heights Winery produces premium varietals, proprietary blends and traditional method sparkling wines, marketed under the labels "Yarden", "Gamla" and "Golan".
The winery was founded in 1983 and is located in the small town of Katzrin, high up on the Golan Heights. By combining state-of-the-art technology with traditional vinification techniques, the company has succeeded in producing award-winning wines, firmly placing Israel on the international wine map.

Golan Heights Winery, Gamla, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007
This Cabernet Sauvignon shows off ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit notes along with hints of earth, spice and nuances of fresh herbs. The Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied with good flavor and satisfying finish. While ready to enjoy, Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon ages well over six to eight years from the harvest.

Golan Heights Winery, Gamla, Merlot, 2007
This Merlot exhibits rich ripe berry fruit layered with hints of cocoa, spice and oak. Classic character along with satisfying richness makes this Merlot a rewarding experience. Gamla Merlot is ready to enjoy and will remain in good condition for up to about seven years from the vintage.

The Gamla Pinot Noir highlights aromas of violets, raspberries, sour cherries and spice. These qualities, along with the wine's medium body, make for an immediately approachable, yet classic, Pinot Noir.

The Gamla Chardonnay shows off an aromatic and attractive blend of characters. Pear, lemon and apricot notes mingle with hints of flowers and a background of rich oak and vanilla. The wine combines medium body with satisfying flavor, making for a great everyday drinking Chardonnay.

Golan Heights Winery, Gamla, Brut, N.V.
This sparkling wine was produced strictly according to the traditional method, including processing of whole clusters and secondary fermentation in the bottle. Each bottle ages for a minimum one year prior to disgorging. Bright yet delicate notes of orange blossoms and green apples, layered with hints of tropical fruits, wild straberries and fresh flowers. The flavor is crisp and clean, leaving one with the desire for another sip.
